STATE GOVERNMENT OF NORTH RHINE-WESTPHALIA
Ghana and North Rhine-Westphalia renewed their partnership in 2021. Ghana’s Foreign Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey and Prime Minister Armin Laschet signed a joint declaration of intent on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Petersberg near Bonn, extending the formalized cooperation between both countries, which has been in place since 2007, for the third time.
STATE CHANCELLERY
The State Chancellery is the office of the Prime Minister. It is where the threads of government and administrative work come together. The State Chancellery’s role is to assist the head of government in defining and implementing political guidelines and in their capacity as the representative of the state.

The Foreign Society was founded more than 70 years ago as an initiative of dedicated citizens. It emerged from the trauma of the Second World War and was driven by the desire for mutual understanding. This origin continues to shape the goals of the Foreign Society to this day: a commitment to international understanding in the spirit of humanity and tolerance.
